About the entries

  1. If an entry was already a winner of gold, silver, bronze, honorable mention, the special jury prize or the shortlisting prize of the Quemoy International Poster Award for Peace in 2018, then this entry is not allowed to register for this Contest.
  2. If the participating entries do not meet the standards of the jury panel, then the decision can be made that a winner slot will be left vacant.
  3. The entries should be created by the participants themselves with originality.
  4. All the concepts, texts, images, etc. should be clear of plagiarism and should not infringe the intellectual property rights or copyrights of others.

About the participants

  1. The participating entries should be created by the participants themselves and clear of plagiarism. If a winning entry is reported on or causes disputes due to plagiarism, and if the plagiarism is proven to be true, then the winner(s) should be responsible for resolving the disputes, and the organizer will reserve the right to unilaterally disqualify the winning entry and retrieve the reward sum and the certificate. In addition, any consequent damage inflicted on the organizer should also be compensated for by the winner(s) involved in plagiarism.
  2. Influence peddling/lobbying, bribery, threats and other behavior disrupting the selection process of the jury panel are prohibited. The decision of the jury panel should be respected.
  3. The participants are required to provide detailed information regarding the creation of their entry for the purpose of future media coverage and exhibitions.

About the winners

  1. Within one year after the announcement of the winner list, the winners of gold, silver and bronze and their winning entries should cooperate in participating in relevant exhibitions.
  2. In accordance with the Copyright Act, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Kinmen County will hold the rights to reproduce and publicly exhibit the winning entries, such as for printed materials, online promotion, magazines, exhibitions, etc., without having to pay further remuneration. The Cultural Affairs Bureau of Kinmen County will enjoy the right to utilize the copyrights of the winning entries in non-profit ways.
  3. The winners should submit the original copy of the consent form on copyright authorization; otherwise, the winning entry will be disqualified, and the vacant slot will not be filled. If a winning entry is proven to be involved in imposture, plagiarism, copying or counterfeiting, it will be disqualified, and the reward sum and the certificate will be retrieved, which the participant(s) will have no right to object to. Any lawsuits will be the sole responsibility of the participant(s).
  4. The reward sums and expense coverage of the winners should be taxed in accordance of the Income Tax Act of the Republic of China and other relevant regulations.
  5. If the participating entries do not meet the desired levels, a majority vote of the jury panel can determine that a winner slot will be left vacant, which the participant(s) will have no right to object to.

Disqualification criteria for winning entries

  1. The entry doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria for participation.
  2. If a winning entry is reported on as being involved in plagiarism or violating copyrights-related laws, and if such an accusation is confirmed by court decisions, the executive team shall disqualify the winning entry and retrieve the reward sum and the certificate that have been issued.
  3. If a winning entry is reported on as or accused of being created not by the participant(s) himself/herself/themselves or using others’ work(s), and if such an accusation is made with concrete evidence, the executive team shall disqualify the winning entry and retrieve the reward sum and the certificate that have been issued.
  4. The reward sums and expense coverage of the winners should be taxed in accordance of the Income Tax Act of the Republic of China and other relevant regulations.
  5. If a winner has been involved in influence peddling/lobbying, bribery, threats or other behavior disrupting the selection process of the jury panel, and if such a behavior is considered by the supervisory and the organizing entities as being serious, the executive team shall disqualify the winning entry and retrieve the reward sum and the certificate that have been issued.
  • By participating in the Contest, all the participants are deemed as having agreed to abide by the general regulations listed above. In case of lack of clarity, the organizer will reserve the right to interpretation.
  • By submitting their entries, the participants are deemed as agreeing to the general regulations of the Contest, the fact of which the participant(s) will have no right to object to.
  • In case of issues not covered in the general regulations, the organizer will supplement the regulations with additional announcements at any time and will reserve the ultimate right to their interpretation.
